throughout the province. The trail follows the Restigouche River
near streams, fields and forests. In Atholville, there is the Margaret

River

The historic Restigouche River is renowned worldwide for its salmon
fishing, but the river holds as much excitement for the canoeist,
photographer or outdoor enthusiast. The brightly tinted maple leaves
herald the approach of autumn, one of the most beautiful times of
year in the Restigouche region. For the experience of a lifetime,
try "running the river", a classic two-day canoe trip
from Kedgwick to Tide Head. It is a 57-mile journey through paradise.
