Winter

  • New Brunswick Public Libraries Week Program (all ages) October 14-20
  • Story hour (session before Christmas and one after Christmas) Pre-registration for pre-schoolers
  • Hackmatack children's reading program for each linguistic group. One evening per month. Pre-registration required.
  • Children's crafts for Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day, etc.
  • Freedom to Read Week in February.
  • Semaine de la fierté française in March
  • Canada Book Day Program in April.

Year Round

  • Computer access in Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Training Lab (8 computers - 1 hour per person per day) Children's computers (2) in Children's section.
  • Author visits arranged when French or English authors are available year-round.
  • Restigouche Naturalists Club (meets first Monday of the month at 7 p.m.) September to June, with outings year-round. Open to all.

Summer

  • Aboriginal Day Program the week of June 21.
  • Salmon Festival Giant Book Sale June 26 - 28 in Multipurpose room.
  • Literacy tutoring for individual children (English in 2002, French in 2003) in Board room.
  • Summer reading club June, July & August for ages 3 - 12 in Children's section. (Theme for 2002: "Ready, Set, Read!")
  • Summer Reading Club Closing Party in August at Memorial Civic Center.
  • Story hours, crafts, and various children's activities all summer.
